• Only registered delegates are permitted to submit abstracts for papers or posters.
• Abstracts for papers or posters must be brief: not exceeding 250 words.
• The presenting author will serve as the contact person for all correspondence regarding the presentation.
• All abstracts must be submitted in English, using Times New Roman font, size 12.
• Please choose a theme appropriate to your presentation.
• All abstracts must be submitted exclusively through the conference website.
• The title should be short and concise, and must not be written entirely in capital letters.
• The abstract should not contain broad statements like "The results will be discussed."
• You may use standard abbreviations; however, unusual abbreviations should be mentioned in brackets after the full word when it appears for the first time.
• Use numerals to indicate numbers, except when beginning a sentence.

• Abstract submission date starts from 15^th August 2026. The deadline for abstract submission is September 30^th, 2026.

• All submissions will be acknowledged by email only. Therefore, please provide your current active working email ID along with a mobile number. (The Scientific Committee will not be responsible if you do not receive a response due to an incorrectly provided email ID.)
• Certificates will be prepared according to the name of the presenting author provided during submission.

Various Categories of Presentations

• Dr. A. C. Parikh Award paper session: This prestigious award is intended for Postgraduate Residents. The award recognizes the Best Paper Presentation. Eligible submissions are Case Reports or Case Series. One paper from each medical college in Maharashtra can be nominated. The nomination must be made by the Head of the Department of the respective institution.
• Dr. S. L. Wadhwa Award paper session: Open to Postgraduate Residents for the Best Research Paper. One research study can be nominated by the Head of Department from each medical college in Maharashtra. Research submissions may include: Clinical trials/ Epidemiological studies/ Investigational studies but multi-centric pharmaceutical-sponsored studies are not eligible and should be avoided.
• Dr. D. J. Patil Award paper session: The award is open to life members of IADVL comprising of interesting cases but is not open to postgraduate resident doctors. From the submitted entries, a minimum of three and a maximum of five papers will be selected for presentation, and the best presentation will receive the award. Interesting cases will be judged based on criteria such as a complicated presentation of a common disorder, a rare presentation of a common disease, the presence of a diagnostic clue, a reported but uncommon finding, a new and unusual treatment modality, an unforeseen complication, or an unforgettable incident encountered during patient management.
• Dr. Arvind Lonkar Award paper session: The award is open to any IADVL member who has made a special contribution to the field of Dermatology. Postgraduate dissertations of students who have successfully completed their MD/DNB examination in the first attempt during the previous year are also eligible for consideration. Thesis/Synopsis of the work should be submitted in PDF format. The submitted work will be evaluated by a panel of three Past Presidents. Both the winning student/member and their guide will be felicitated.
• Dr. M. S. Trasi and Dr. R. C. Shah Award E-poster session: The following types of submissions are eligible as E-posters under this section: Case Reports/ Case Series/ Research Studies.
• Dr. Ganpathy Award session: A separate award has been instituted for E-Posters under the following categories: Pediatric Dermatology and Leprosy.

Instructions for Abstract Content

• Figures, tables, and graphs should not be included.
• Use generic names for drugs only.
• For original research, the results must be submitted with the abstract.
• No references are needed with abstract submission.
• By submitting an abstract, the author transfers copyright ownership to the organizing committee for publication in the conference abstract book or souvenir. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reproduce the abstract or presentation made at the conference in print or electronic media.
• Abstracts or papers previously published or presented at any national or international meeting are not permitted.
• Abstracts or papers previously published or presented at local or state levels are permitted, but the details must be mentioned in the submission.
• The Scientific Committee will review the abstracts, and acceptance will be communicated to the presenting author by November 06^th, 2026.
• The Scientific Committee reserves the right to allocate a session time or change the presentation type.
• Allocated submissions: maximum of one presentation per category per institute (except e-posters) and a maximum of two presentations per resident across all categories.
• Please do not submit the same abstract under more than one category.
• Please mention the category of presentation for which the author is competing.
• For award papers, do not reveal the names of the institution, place, or co-authors. A ‘blind’ selection process will be used.
